GitHub Integration for File Embedding

Embed and manage GitHub files directly within your Confluence pages. The new Git macro integration allows you to:

Insert files from repositories directly into pages with a built-in browser and support for multiple Github accounts.
Render files with syntax highlighting, diagram and markdown rendering.
Search across embedded files to quickly locate pages containing Git macros and file references
Find pages with Git macros through improved search indexing and discovery
Migrate from Github Macros for Confluence (Appfire) and bring your data with you

This makes it easier for development teams to keep documentation and source code in sync without switching between tools.

Approval Permissions and Watchers

You can now restrict who can request or edit approvals within a space, or add watcher users who are notified about all approval changes within a space.

Approval Authentication Tokens

Strengthen the security of your approval workflows with optional authentication requirements. Space administrators can now:

Enforce authentication tokens when users respond to approval requests within a specific space
Support mobile authenticators including Google Authenticator and other standard TOTP applications
Require users to provide a verification code when submitting their approval response

This adds an extra layer of security for sensitive approvals and ensures that responses come from authorized users only.

Ask Questions about your diagrams with Capable AI

If you have AI enabled in the app, you now have the ability to ask questions about your diagrams using Capable AI.

This makes it easy to answer questions like:

Explain this diagram in simple terms
What step comes after the ‘Review’ stage?
What actions does the BPO have to perform in this process?
What external dependencies does the server have?

Use Page Content to generate diagrams with Capable AI

You can now choose to include the page content in the ‘Generate Diagram’ feature, making it even easier to create diagrams from the page.
